These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Trainlabs Software, a sole proprietorship owned by Abhinav C and registered as a micro enterprise under the Udyam scheme (Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-KL-04-0087446), with its principal place of business at Kuttipravan House, Ward 7, Canal Road, Bakkalam, Peelery, Taliparamba, Kannur, Kerala 670562, India ("TrainLabs", "we", "us"). They also serve as the end user licence agreement for the TrainLabs mobile application.
By creating an account, or by using TrainLabs, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Two things are important enough to say before anything else:
TrainLabs is not a gym, a clinic, or a coach. We make software that fitness professionals use to run their own coaching. The coaching itself is between you and your trainer, and we are not a party to it. See §5.
Nothing in TrainLabs is medical advice. Exercise and dietary changes carry real risk of injury and can be dangerous for some people. See §7. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are unsure, talk to a doctor before you start.
1. Definitions
- Service — the TrainLabs mobile applications, the TrainLabs website, and our APIs.
- Trainer — a user with a trainer account, using the Service to coach their own clients.
- Client — a user with a client account, coached by a Trainer.
- Coaching Services — the training, nutrition, and other services a Trainer provides to a Client. These are the Trainer's services, not ours.
- Content — anything a user uploads, enters, or sends: programs, messages, notes, logs, photographs, videos, invoices.
- Subscription — a Trainer's paid plan, described in §9.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use TrainLabs. We do not knowingly permit accounts for anyone younger, because the Service collects health data and, optionally, photographs of the body.
You must also have the legal capacity to enter a contract, and you must not be barred from receiving our services under any applicable law or sanctions programme.
Trainers must not create accounts for, or coach through TrainLabs, anyone under 18. If you coach minors, do it outside this Service.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and everything done through it.
- Give us accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep control of the phone number, email address, or Google account you sign in with. Anyone who controls those can get into your account.
- Do not share your account, sell it, or let someone else use it.
- Tell us at support@trainlabs.app immediately if you think someone has got in.
We sign you in with a one-time code or a third-party identity provider. We never ask for your password, and neither will we — treat any message that does as fraudulent.
4. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the TrainLabs app on devices you own or control, for the purposes these Terms allow. That is all it is — we license the app, we do not sell it to you, and we keep every right we do not expressly grant.
You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent the law says you may despite this restriction;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or distribute it;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notice;
- use bots, scrapers or automated means to access it, or scrape data from it;
- circumvent rate limits, access controls, or paid-feature gates;
- probe or test the security of the Service without our prior written consent, or use it to build a competing product.
5. What TrainLabs is, and what it is not
This section defines the whole relationship. Read it.
Trainers are independent professionals. They are not our employees, agents, partners, or representatives, and we are not theirs.
- We do not provide Coaching Services.
- We do not supervise, direct, or control how a Trainer coaches.
- We do not verify a Trainer's qualifications, certifications, insurance, licences, or claims of experience, and we do not endorse any Trainer. If you are a Client, check your Trainer's credentials yourself.
- We are not a party to any agreement between a Trainer and a Client, including any agreement about fees, sessions, refunds, or results.
- We do not guarantee that any Trainer will be available, competent, responsive, or that any Client will pay.
A dispute between a Trainer and a Client is between them. We may, entirely at our discretion, provide records from the Service to help resolve it, but we are not obliged to arbitrate, mediate, or take sides.
5.1 Trainers' own obligations
If you are a Trainer, you agree that:
- you hold the qualifications, certifications, registrations, and insurance that the law and reasonable professional practice require where you operate, and you will keep them current;
- you are solely responsible for the safety and appropriateness of every program, diet, and recommendation you give;
- you will screen clients for medical conditions and refer them to a qualified medical professional when you should;
- you will not diagnose, treat, or claim to cure any medical condition, and you will not present yourself as a doctor, dietitian, physiotherapist, or other regulated professional unless you actually are one;
- you are solely responsible for your own tax, licensing, and regulatory compliance, including GST where it applies to you;
- you are an independent Data Fiduciary for your clients' personal data, and you will handle it lawfully — including obtaining any consent your own practice requires, and not using it for anything your client would not expect;
- you will not use a client's photographs, results, testimonials, or data for marketing without that client's separate, specific, written consent;
- the Content you upload is yours to upload, and does not infringe anyone's rights.
You indemnify us for your breach of this section, as set out in §17.
6. Prohibited conduct, and zero tolerance for abuse
You must not use TrainLabs to:
- break any law, or encourage anyone else to;
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully, defame, or intimidate anyone;
- post or send content that is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, hateful, violent, or that degrades a person on the basis of religion, caste, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any similar characteristic;
- share intimate or sexual images of any person, or share anyone's photographs without their consent — this is a permanent-ban offence and, in some cases, a criminal one;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your qualifications, affiliation, or identity;
- upload anyone else's personal data without a lawful basis for doing so;
- send spam, unsolicited marketing, chain messages, or promote unrelated products;
- promote eating disorders, extreme caloric restriction, unsafe rapid weight loss, performance-enhancing drugs, anabolic steroids, or any controlled substance;
- promote any product or protocol that presents a foreseeable risk of serious harm;
- upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or anyone's account;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or to train a machine-learning model.
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. We may remove Content and suspend or terminate accounts for a breach of this section, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
6.1 Reporting and blocking
Every user can report a message, a photograph, a profile, or a user from within the app, and can block another user.
Blocking also ends the coaching relationship between you. That is deliberate: in TrainLabs the coaching connection is what gives your trainer access to your logs, your weight history and your photographs, so a block that left it standing would stop the messages and leave everything else visible. Unblocking later does not restore the relationship — one of you would have to send a new invitation and the other would have to accept it.
We review every report. We aim to act within 24 hours on reports of intimate imagery, imminent physical harm, or content involving a minor, and within 72 hours on everything else. Where a report is well-founded we remove the Content and, depending on severity, warn, suspend, or permanently ban the account, and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
You can also report to us directly at support@trainlabs.app, or to the Grievance Officer in §20.
7. Health and safety — please read this properly
TrainLabs is a general fitness and wellness tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app — including any program, diet, target, supplement recommendation, or AI-generated note — is a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
- Consult a doctor before starting any exercise or nutrition program, especially if you have or suspect a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, an injury, an eating disorder, or any chronic illness; if you are pregnant or post-partum; or if you are over 40 and have been inactive.
- Stop immediately and seek medical help if you feel chest pain, dizziness, faintness, shortness of breath, or unusual pain.
- Calorie and macronutrient figures are estimates produced by standard formulas. Nutritional data for foods is approximate and may be wrong. Do not rely on them for any clinical purpose.
- Supplement information is general. We do not prescribe supplements, we do not assess interactions with medication, and we recommend no brand. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist.
- Body-weight and body-composition figures are what you or your Trainer entered. They are not measurements we took.
You take part in physical training entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any injury, illness, aggravation of a condition, or death arising from your use of the Service or from Coaching Services you receive through it.
8. Your Content
8.1 You keep ownership
You own your Content. We do not claim it.
8.2 The licence you give us
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, reformat, and display your Content only to the extent needed to operate, secure, and support the Service for you — for example, delivering a message to its recipient, showing your program to the Client it is for, or generating a thumbnail.
This licence is not a marketing licence. We will not use your Content, your photographs, your name, or your results in advertising or public material without your separate, specific, prior written consent. It ends when you delete the Content or your account, except for copies in routine backups until they cycle out, and except where we must keep something by law.
8.3 What you promise about it
You confirm you own or are licensed to use everything you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law. You are responsible for your Content. We do not pre-screen it, though we may review it when it is reported or when we must.
8.4 Photographs
Progress photographs and meal photographs are governed by explicit in-app consent and can be withdrawn at any time; withdrawal permanently deletes them. See the Privacy Policy §3.
Trainers: a client's progress photographs are among the most sensitive things they will ever give you. You may view them only to coach that client. You must not download, copy, screenshot, forward, publish, or keep them after the coaching relationship ends, and you must never use them for marketing without that client's separate written consent. Breaching this is a permanent-ban offence and may be a criminal offence under s.66E and s.72A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
9. Trainer subscriptions
9.1 The free trial
New Trainers get a 14-day free trial. No payment details are required to start it. When it ends, if you have not subscribed, your account moves to read-only: you keep access to all your records, clients, programs, and business history, and you can export them — you just cannot create or edit until you subscribe. We do not lock you out of your own records.
9.2 Price, term and renewal
The Subscription is ₹999 per month, billed monthly in advance, and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Where you purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's billing terms apply and your subscription is managed in your store account, not here.
9.3 Failed payments
If a renewal fails, we allow a grace period of 7 days during which your account continues to work normally while the payment is retried. A card declining on a Tuesday is usually a bank problem, not a decision to leave. If payment has not succeeded by the end of that period, the account moves to read-only as in §9.1.
9.4 Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
9.5 Price changes
We may change the price. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and it will apply from your next renewal after that notice. If you do not accept it, cancel before then.
10. Payments between Clients and Trainers
TrainLabs does not process, hold, route, or take a commission on money a Client pays a Trainer. We are not a payment system, a payment aggregator, a bank, or an escrow agent, and we never take custody of those funds.
The app records what Trainers and Clients tell it. A Trainer can issue an invoice and record a payment; a Client can see the invoice, copy the Trainer's payment details, or open a UPI link that hands off to their own banking app. A Client marking an invoice "paid" does not change the Trainer's records — only the Trainer, having checked their own bank, can confirm that.
It follows that:
- the contract for Coaching Services, its price, and its refund terms are between the Trainer and the Client;
- refunds for Coaching Services are the Trainer's responsibility, not ours;
- we do not guarantee that any payment was made, received, or is accurate, and we are not liable for any discrepancy, non-payment, or dispute;
- a Trainer is responsible for their own invoicing, tax, and GST obligations, and for the accuracy of every figure they enter.
11. AI features
Parts of the Service use third-party artificial intelligence: reading a training program out of a PDF a Trainer uploads, and — only where a Client has separately opted in — describing visible changes between two progress photographs.
- AI output can be wrong. It may misread a document, or describe something that is not there.
- A Trainer must review and correct anything AI produced before relying on it or passing it to a Client. AI progress notes are shown to the Trainer first and reach the Client only if the Trainer keeps them.
- AI output is never medical advice and never a measurement or assessment of your body.
- We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or continuity of any AI feature, and we may change or withdraw one.
- What is sent where, and on what consent, is set out in the Privacy Policy §3.3.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, trade marks, and the TrainLabs name and logo are ours or our licensors', and are protected by intellectual property law. The exercise library and other reference data we supply are licensed to you for use inside the Service only.
Your feedback and suggestions are welcome, and by sending them you let us use them freely and without obligation.
13. Availability, changes, and beta features
We aim to keep the Service running but we do not promise any uptime. It may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
We may add, change, or remove features. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
Some features are labelled beta, preview, or early access. They are provided as is, may be unstable, and may be withdrawn at any time. Do not rely on them for anything important.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy §10.1).
We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where practicable and immediately where not, if you breach these Terms, if we must for legal reasons, if your account is used for fraud or abuse, or if you have not paid.
On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive — §5, §7, §8.2, §8.4, §10, §12, §15, §16, §17, §19 and §21 — survive.
Trainers: deleting your account removes your library and everything you have not assigned, but a program already assigned to a Client stays with that Client — deleting it would destroy that Client's own logged training history, which is theirs and not yours. Your Clients are not notified automatically, so tell them, and export your records first.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or trade usage.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; that defects will be corrected; that any data, calculation, or AI output will be accurate; or that any result, fitness outcome, weight change, or business outcome will be achieved.
We specifically disclaim any warranty about Trainers, Clients, Coaching Services, and the conduct of other users.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, however caused and on any theory of liability, even if we were told such damages were possible.
- We are not liable for anything arising out of Coaching Services, a Trainer's acts or omissions, a Client's acts or omissions, any payment between them, or any content another user provides.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹5,000. Clients pay us nothing, so for a Client this limit is ₹5,000.
These limits apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose, and they reflect a reasonable allocation of risk in a service offered at this price.
17. Indemnity
You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trainlabs Software, its proprietor, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your Content, your breach of these Terms or of any law, your infringement of anyone's rights, and — if you are a Trainer — any claim arising from your Coaching Services or from your handling of a Client's personal data.
18. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services, and links to others. Their terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for them. This includes Razorpay for subscription payments, Google Sign-In, Google's Gemini API, and any UPI or banking app a payment link opens.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Talk to us first. Most problems can be sorted out by email. Contact us at support@trainlabs.app and we will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
If that fails, the dispute will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue is Kannur, Kerala, and the proceedings will be in English. The award is final and binding.
The courts at Kannur, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over anything not subject to arbitration.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from approaching a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a court.

21. General
- Changes. We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the Service and delete your account.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy are the whole agreement between us on this subject.
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands and the provision is read down to the minimum extent needed.

- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may, on notice, to a successor in business.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Notices. We contact you at the email or phone number on your account, or in the app. You contact us at support@trainlabs.app.
